From [AI overview]: The Germanic Wars is a series of wars between the Romans and various Germanic tribes between 113 BC and 596 AD. Germanic tribes were diverse ethnic groups in Northern and Central Europe during antiquity, primarily categorized into West, East, and North groupings. Antiquity is from 800 BC to 500 AD and the Middle Ages or medieval period is from 500 AD to 1500 AD.
Famous Germanic Tribes and their Classifications:
East Germanic Tribes: Goths, Ostrogoths, Visigoths, Vandals, Gepids, Burgundians.
West Germanic Tribes: Franks, Saxons, Angles, Jutes, Alamanni, Chatti, Cherusci, Suebi, Frisians, Langobardi or (Lombards).
North Germanic Tribes: Danes, Geats, Swedes or (Suiones).
Other Notable Tribes: Cimbri, Teutones, Ambrones, Rugii, Heruli, Marcomanni.
From my review of [Wikipedia] source on list of campaigns or battles for “Chronology of warfare between the Romans and Germanic peoples” from 113 BC to 596 AD, the reference list is more than 95 battles while the Gothic War 535 AD to 554 AD, which is part of Germanic Wars, is around 13 battles. In arithmetic prediction, is the Gothic War’s death toll 15,000,000 part of the Germanic Wars’ death toll 15,450,000? Note the previous source only cited the balance from 113 AD not 113 BC or it was an erroneous referenced date. If so, the Germanic Wars statistic is only about 450,000 death toll whereas the 13 battles, 15,000,000 death toll, were mainly fought in the Gothic War 535 AD to 554 AD. My previous approximation on this war may be a bit overstatement by period of division or it is an illusion or deception number that the war is actually its individual number. Without this corrective statement, I think it is still a misinterpretation of the total approximated statistics 17,575,000 for this period column.

535 AD to 554 AD
From [Wikipedia]: The Gothic War between the Eastern Roman Empire or (Byzantine Empire) during the reign of Emperor Justinian I and the Ostrogothic Kingdom of Italy took place from 535 AD to 554 AD in the Italian peninsula, Dalmatia, Sardinia, Sicily, and Corsica. The Ostrogothic Kingdom, officially the Kingdom of Italy was a barbarian kingdom established by the Germanic Ostrogoths that controlled Italy and neighbouring areas between 493 AD and 553 AD. The barbarian kingdoms were states founded by various non-Roman, primarily Germanic, peoples in Western Europe and North Africa following the collapse of the Western Roman Empire in the 5th century CE. The barbarian kingdoms were the principal governments in Western Europe in the Early Middle Ages. The Gothic War was one of the last of the many Gothic wars against the Byzantine Empire. The war had its roots in Justinian's ambition to recover the provinces of the former Western Roman Empire, which had been lost to invading barbarian tribes during the Migration Period.

6th Century Silkworm farmed in Europe: From [AI overview]: In the mid-6th century (circa 552 AD to 553 AD), the secret of sericulture (silkworm farming) was introduced to Europe, specifically within the Byzantine Empire. This allowed the Byzantine Empire to break the, at the time, Persian and Chinese monopoly on silk production. It was realized they could not bring live, adult silkworms because they were too fragile. Instead, they smuggled silkworm eggs (and possibly larvae) hidden inside hollowed-out walking sticks or bamboo canes. Before 550 AD, the Byzantine Empire relied on, and was heavily taxed by, Persian middlemen who controlled the silk trade from China. While production began in the East, this 6th-century introduction eventually spread; however, large-scale, independent, Western European production in places like Italy and France did not truly develop until the 11th–13th centuries.
