Article: Wildlife
My Blog Title: Pictures of Pre-historic and Now, Special Characteristics and Varieties.
If we discover specimens of life in the past million years, what pictures and understanding of life comes to our mind? What special characteristics and varieties of wildlife we probably never know of? A fossil record of trilobite that lived in where is now Morocco over 350 million years ago is still a mystery. Trilobites had crystal eyes and how the early ancient species sensed and saw the ocean world around them are hard to understand. Their eyes were made of hard crystal, a mineral known as calcite, in compound complex cluster. Discovery of an ancient tooth dated about 34 million years ago was found near Juruá river in Amazonian, Brazil. Scientist reconstructs the picture that the tooth characteristic is a monkey clade. An extinct primate traversed the Atlantic Ocean by riding a raft of vegetation from Africa to South America millions of years ago. Another scientist’s findings is a saber-toothed cat, a fossilized skull, lived about 5 million years ago in Langebaanweg ,South Africa. The newfound species is an extinct feline predator that was well adapted in grasslands and covered forests. Also, the complete skeletons fossil of Dinosaur and mammal was unearthed from northeastern China. The illustration made by Canadian Museum of Nature’s scientist describes the fossil of 125 million years old that the meat-eating mammal, and the plant-eating dinosaur were intertwined and covered in volcanic ash and mudflow during their prehistoric battle. A life reconstruction shows anatomy of an attack between the Repenomamus- a badger size mammal , and Psittacosaurus- a dinosaur, three times the size of mammal. Chicago Field Museum's researchers found feathers of a baby bird preserved in amber that lived 99 million years ago. The study illustrates that the preserved feathers in amber is evidence of juvenile molting revealing related evolution to modern avian species. Feathers are shed and regrow and also function in camouflage flight and protection.
Further to fossilized past life research, Palaeontologist reconstructs size comparisons of extinct species with their modern relatives in 30 species. The added descriptions are my narrative of complete references from www.boredpanda.com for my personal archive.
